Cooper Webb passed teammate Justin Cooper for the lead then held off a charging Chase Sexton who had went down early trying to pass Justin Cooper for the lead only for Cooper to shut the door and leave Sexton on the ground. Ken Roczen had a bad start and came back to fifth after Jason Anderson and Justin Barcia got into it and took each other out!

Moto three

Just wow! The race of the season sees Cooper Webb take the win after all three title contenders went at it for the overall and even Jason Anderson got involved and Barcia! Roczen got into the lead early but by the halfway point, Sexton was on his back wheel with Webb chasing the both of them and it was the battle we all wanted to see! Sexton finally got by Roczen but Webb was right there too and he finally found his way around the German and set after Sexton who then stalled and allowed Webb into the lead! Roczen then was snapping at Sexton’s heels with Anderson right there too! Sexton regained his rhythm got back into his groove and was going after Webb on the last lap despite having the overall win in the bag as Roczen fought Anderson for third. But Sexton got caught out by Webb cutting out of a corner early and went down, costing himself the overall win as Anderson and Roczen went past, then to add insult to injury, Barcia slammed him in the final turn and Sexton dropped back to fifth losing the win to Webb and giving Webb sole possesion of the red plate in a catastrophic last lap! Absolute madness to leave a beaming Webb with the win and the championship lead – it’s what he does!

Webb said: “I have no idea what happened, that was craziness! Me and Chase were coming through the pack, we were going for it. It’s incredible. I am in disbelief!”

An angry Sexton said: “Not much to stay, pretty embarrassing, stalling and falling down, it ain’t going to cut it. We have a lot of work to do.”
