Speaking to Jason Macalpine from GypsyTales last year, Jason Anderson revealed that he was considering racing the MXGP World Championship in the future.

Anderson has never shied away from his love of the Motocross des Nations event and it sounded like he would consider moving his life upside down and race the MXGP World Championship in future – if he had the right opportunity.

We caught up with him at San Diego and asked him if a move to MXGP would still be on the cards but he appears to now rule it out.

“I mean, I live right where we’re at right now and the weather’s pretty damn nice, but I would love to do MXGP. I just feel like when the time comes I’m going to be too old, and it’s going to be tough for me, you know, because I feel like I have good opportunities here”, Anderson told GateDrop.com.

“At this point I have my daughter and by the time I’m able to do that she’ll probably be having to go to school and stuff like that and I’ll be 35 and washed up, so I’m just trying to keep this thing going as long as I can and still feel good. As long as I still feel good I want to keep charging”, concluded Anderson.

Anderson is in a contract year as his KRT contract is up at the end of the year but it seems like he is chasing another deal to stay in America and contest Supercross once again. With his current form – it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him renew with Kawasaki.

The American has had a strong start to the Supercross series as he sits sixth in the championship after three rounds. He actually already has two podium visits at A1 and A2 so he is having a strong season.
