RUMOUR: Tom Guyon to make MX2 GP return in 2025?

There’s no doubt that Tom Guyon has a lot of talent. Back in 2019 it looked like the French rider would have a very bright future in the sport as he battled with Mattia Guadagnini for the EMX125 title. Things haven’t quite gone the way that Guyon would have wanted.

It’s clear injuries haven’t been kind to him – he did have opportunities racing the MX2 World Championship with VRT KTM and Fantic but mostly down to injuries he couldn’t show his true potential.

This year, Guyon decided a reset was needed in his career so decided to sign with the 737 Performance GasGas Oxmoto Team which sees him under the watchful eye of former GP rider, Valentin Teillet.

It has meant that Guyon has mostly only raced in France but he did do the French GP and also had the opportunity of racing two AMA Nationals which was a cool experience for him.

For the 2025 season, we have heard that Guyon will be back racing in the GP paddock and contesting the entire MX2 World Championship season. It’ll be nice to see him back in the paddock and fingers crossed he can avoid any injuries to show his true potential.

We recently reported that the Riley Racing team are expected to make a comeback to the paddock in 2025 with Kawasaki machinery and rumours suggest that Guyon will be one of the teams riders.

We’ll bring you the news as and when it is available as the team are also searching for a second MX2 GP rider for the 2025 season.
