The Riley Racing team have been in the Grand Prix paddock in the past working with the likes of Tim Edberg, Cornelius Tøndel, Hakon Fredriksen, Joel Rizzi and Brent van Doninck to name a few.

Rumours suggest after a while outside the paddock the team are preparing a return to the paddock for the 2025 season.

Our understanding is that the team will be making a comeback for the 2025 season and will focus on the MX2 World Championship once again. Rumours suggest they will contest all rounds of the MX2 GP’s including fly away rounds.

The team ran Yamaha machinery in the past but as we understand it, they may well run different machinery in 2025 and are in talks with Kawasaki but it is yet to be confirmed.

In 2025, the team are expected to line up with two riders in the MX2 World Championship and rumours suggest talks are already ongoing with riders.

The more rides available in the paddock the better so it’ll be nice to see the team back in the Grand Prix paddock. MX2 is looking healthier next year with the addition of a second HRC Honda rider, a factory KRT rider and Riley’s expected return to the paddock.

We’ll bring you more news regarding the team as and when it is available.
