“It’s very weird situation,” said Herlings. “It’s not a secret the bike went into neutral. It wasn’t a stone, it wasn’t my foot. I don’t know, it definitely was not a bike failure, so I am very happy with that. It must have been pure, pure bad luck of something touching that shift lever, it wasn’t even a super bad crash but then the bike got on top of me and broke my collarbone, it was a clean break.”
