Chase Sexton’s title hopes appear to have reached the end of the road after a very strange crash that saw Sexton almost loop out then case a jump, and get vaulted unto the berm, leaving the champ lying there in pain.
Sexton eventually walked off and in the KTM press release, he explained why he crashed – he had a mechanical issue with the throttle!
“Crashed out tonight,” stated Sexton. “A stone cracked my throttle body and the throttle got stuck off of that single-single, which ended my night. Bummer, but nothing’s broken, and we’ll bounce back in Philadelphia.”
