Antonio Cairoli is ready to start his new career as Red Bull KTM MXGP team manager, he spoke to Lisa Leyland on MXGP TV and said it was strange to be in Argentina but not as a racer!
“For sure it’s strange,” admitted TC. “I’m still learning a lot of stuff and still feeling like a rider because I am still testing for KTM. So it’s weird, also because I love this track, it is one of my favourites. Maybe if we started somewhere different, it would not be so difficult (to not feel like a rider) but I really like the atmosphere at this track, so it’s difficult not to be going on the track.
“We have different possibilities now, the team is all new, new riders and mechanics and myself (as team manager). We have Jeffrey then the MX2 boys are all new and young, unfortunately Sacha we miss Sacha, he had a surgery on his shoulder on Thursday which is a pity because he is riding very well, he is still young but hopefully the surgery will fix this problem (with the shoulder).”
