Timed practice results: MXGP + MX2 RD9 – Ernee

The Ernee circuit is already very technical with plenty of ruts and bumps.

It looked like MXGP was going to be a French 1-2 with Romain Febvre leading the way over Maxime Renaux.  However, Lucas Coenen had other ideas and went pole right at the end of the session.

Calvin Vlaanderen put in his best lap right at the end to go fourth with privateer, Jan Pancar an impressive fifth edging out Kevin Horgmo.

In MX2, Simon Längenfelder set the pace over his KTM team mate, Sacha Coenen. Andrea Adamo who isn’t usually the best in timed practice went third fastest so he’ll be happy with that.

Rick Elzinga put in his best timed practice of the year in fourth with Valerio Lata fifth.

The big talking point is Kay de Wolf who had a small crash and landed on his shoulder before going back to the paddock. We believe the Dutch rider hurt his ankle – it means he’ll have 20th gate pick and perhaps be in some pain as well!
