Solid results for Adamson and Knight at Lyng

As the riders headed out for qualifying at the Norfolk circuit, we saw our MX2 rider John Adamson finish a respectable sixth, despite have a few offs during the session, resulting in a black eye, but still feeling confident  for the rest of the day.

Moving into Race one, John grabbed a decent enough start and pushed his way through the pack on the tricky one lined circuit, chasing down Verde KTM’s Brad Anderson and Troy Lee Design ASA Gas Gas’s Steven Clarke, even after a few mistakes he managed to salvage a solid seventh position.

The track got tougher and rougher as the day went on, but John grabbed a great start out the gate and continued to bring his KTM home in fifth position in moto two, despite not feeling 100% out on track, finishing a great fifth overall for the days events.

“First race I had an absolute shocker, I managed to work my way through but the old Adamson was out,” explained John. “In the second, I had a slightly better start but just circulated, I didn’t feel to comfortable for most of the day, whenever I pushed I just felt sketchy. Overall not to bad for a bad day.”

Liam headed out for qualifying on the Sunday morning, mixing it up with the late addition MXGP wildcard riders, putting some consistent laps in and secured twelfth gate pick for the afternoons moto’s.

Moto one however slightly didn’t go to plan, just as Liam slipped back on the start but managed to pull his position back to tenth, not the result he wanted but still consistent especially due to the track conditions.

Grabbing a good start in Moto two, Liam made his way through the pack pushing past Lewis Tombs, and just as he went to pass the Cab Screen rider Harri Kullas, Liam suffered a mechanical issue with his rear wheel causing him to DNF the last race.

“My riding wasn’t bad but the result wasn’t Ideal,” Explained Knight. “First race I just got stuck riding around on my own, when you look at the names in front of me the result wasn’t bad.” Race two I was riding better, but unfortunately something just went wrong with the rear wheel and that was my DNF.”

The team will regroup and be heading to Fatcat Moto Park this weekend, for round one of the MX Nationals championship.
