Sexton apologises to Cooper Webb

It’s the weekend of apologies! After Jett Lawrence apologised to Jason Anderson, Chase Sexton has now apologised to Cooper Webb!

Sexton apologised to Webb over social media for getting in his way in San Diego as he chased down Aaron Plessinger – but Sexton insisted it was unintentional!

Sexton said: “Not the night I wanted in San Diego after mistakes on my behalf, but I left it all on the track coming from the back. On a separate note, my apologies to Cooper on our collision.

My intentions were to move out of the way the next corner and not to impede the race that was going on that I was clearly not in. See y’all in Anaheim ✌🏻”

A frustrated Webb had said in the press conference: “I felt like the number 1 got out of AP’s way then charged forward to not get out of my way. That’s my personal opinion and we hit and about went down, I was a little bummed on that”.
