Scottish Championship still Desertmartin bound

There’s been a bit of bad news recently with the British Championship and MX Nationals having to decide not to come to Desertmartin this year with the COVID-19 complications.

However, the Scottish Championship still intend on bringing the series to Desertmartin with the event scheduled in for the 4th and 5th of September so it’s something to look forward to later in the year.

ScotMX posted the following update on the event:

“We are super excited about taking the 2021 ScotMX Championship Powered by Milwaukee for a short ferry trip across the water to the famous, former MXGP circuit at Desertmartin in Northern Ireland. As it stands right now we are the only major National Championship confirmed to be running at Desertmartin this year, so… Do Not Miss Out… we intend to make it a memorable event.  As usual we will open racer entry first to our registered ScotMX riders once we are closer to the event. Wild card places will be offered in classes where available at a later date”.

“For any competitors looking to book ferry crossings in advance, please contact Nutt Travel on 028 7035 1199, quoting “ScotMX Events”, to obtain a discounted crossing rate we have arranged with them for this event on 4th & 5th September.  Camping for this race will be available at the fantastic Desertmartin facility and electric hook up is available for a small fee. Look out for further updates regarding this trip via our ScotMX social media pages”.
