Rumour: Cab Screens Yamaha to close their doors?

The Cab Screens Motocross team have done a superb job in the British paddock in recent years. The team that started out 11 years ago, running the official Yamaha UK team since the 2021 season and done a fantastic job.

The team was able to attract former Grand Prix and podium rider, Harri Kullas who has been a superb recruit consistently running at the front of the MX1 British Championship and MX National UK series. Kullas won the MX Nationals UK title in 2019, 2021 and 2022 which was a great achievement for the team, also finishing runners up in the British championship in 2021 and 2022. The team have also worked with the likes of Sam Nunn, Dan Thornhill and James Carpenter in recent years.

We believe that the team are expected to make the very tough decision to close their doors at the end of the 2023 season. Rumours suggest that despite doing such a good job representing Yamaha in the UK scene, the brand – or any other manufacturer haven’t offered to support the team moving forward.

It will be sad for the UK scene if the team does indeed close their doors and also puts Harri Kullas in a tricky situation as at the moment he has no plans which is a big blow for a quality rider.
