Rumour: Adam Sterry back contesting MXGP in 2024?

The past two season’s Adam Sterry has been fully focused on the ADAC MX Masters championship being part of the Sarholz KTM team. However, we believe that the Brit will have a new challenge for the 2024 being part of the MXGP paddock once again.

Sterry does have MXGP experience being an MX2 GP rider for a number of years before entering MXGP and having spells with JD Gunnex KTM and Hitachi KTM fuelled by Milwaukee. The past two years the Brit has only contested selected rounds of the MXGP World Championship.

We believe that will change in 2024 as Sterry will contest in at least all the European rounds of the MXGP World Championship and will be under the Schmicker KTM awning – a German based team which only started this year but as we previously reported will move up to contest MXGP in 2024.

After Ben Watson was the sole British rider to contest MXGP in 2023, it’s nice to see Josh Gilbert and now Adam Sterry expected to race MXGP in 2024 as well – the more the merrier!

Lynn Valk is also expected to sign up with the Schmicker Racing team as she will swap Fantic for KTM machinery for the 2024 season.
