Great starts and perfect laps gave Eli Tomac a 1-2-1 score to take the win at a slick Glendale as Cooper Webb went 2-5-4 with two bad starts ruining his night with the top six all a similar speed. Webb is now 7 points back with Sexton, who took second on the night and a moto win, 25 back of Tomac.
“It was a fantastic evening,” said Tomac. “It was a very tough race track tonight. It was fun, a different challenge, starts were key.”
Justin Barcia took third on the podium with a key second place in the last moto that bumped Webb off the podium.
In the 250 class Jett Lawrence finally won a triple crown event but only by a point of RJ Hampshire with a winner take all final moto and Jett did the business.
