Chase Sexton worked his way past Hunter Lawrence and Aaron Plessinger to take the moto win and clinch the 2024 450 AMA motocross championship in style!

Sexton said: “I felt the safest out front, they were all riding really good. That was a dream ride, no mistakes. This means a lot , we got another moto but championship is what we came for.”

Eli Tomac got away with the top three and hung with the pace of Plessinger and Lawrence- but Plessinger took second so will it be enough for a MXoN spot?

Tomac said he would go to Matterley Basin but wants to earn it against AP – it’s a tough call for team USA!

In race two, Chase Sexton went from fourth to first in a lap and even a brief stall couldn’t stop the new champ winning race two by 20 seconds to put an exclamation point on his title. Aaron Plessinger took a strong second with Eli Tomac third for third overall…so who will be on team USA?!

Sexton said: “Last summer was tough for me not being 100%. This supercross season, building up, getting cut down, building up and then coming out here in outdoors and having an awesome season. This is my best riding I’ve had to this day. Team’s awesome, I just want to keep doing this, it makes you want to win more.”
