Race results: MXGP World Championship RD10 – Febvre wins at Sumbawa

Race One: Romain Febvre looked to have picked it up where he left off on Saturday looking fast and despite things being close between him and Prado the first half of the race, he was able to pull away at the front. But then disaster struck as under no real pressure he crashed out of the lead coming down one of the downhills, gifting Prado the lead and the win. Despite the win, Prado struggled with the heat so will need to recover for moto two. After picking it back up in second, Febvre had to deal with Seewer from behind and thankfully he was able to do that to keep his hopes of the overall alive. Glenn Coldenhoff rode for a lonely fourth ahead of Ruben Fernandez.

Race Two: In the second moto, Febvre dominated proceedings and this time he managed to stay on two wheels to take a convincing win. It’s his first GP win of the year and remarkably his first overall win since Lommel in 2021, hard to believe for someone so good. Prado was second before Seewer passed him to come home behind Febvre. In the championship standings, Prado now has a huge 101 points lead over Febvre who has moved into second past the injured, Herlings.
