In group 1, Noel Zanocz set the pace ahead of local Latvian, Tomass Saicans with Simone Mancini third fastest.
Cole McCullough had bike issues throughout the session – his race bike seized on lap two and then his spare bike great change shaft broke – he was stuck in fourth gear for his fast lap and managed eleventh.
In group 2, Gyan Doensen was fastest over Austria’s Max Ernecker.
