Qualifying race results: MXGP World Championship RD9 – Kegums

It was an intense MXGP qualifying race as Tim Gajser and Jorge Prado set a very hot pace at the front of the field. The gap was always pretty close and never got over the two second mark as Gajser had to deal with pressure from behind.

There wasn’t much to split them going into the final lap and credit to Gajser he rode a great last lap to hold onto the race win.

Mattia Guadagnini was having a great ride as he was third until around five minutes to go when Calvin Vlaanderen and Glenn Coldenhoff made moves on the Italian.

Jeffrey Herlings got a bad start and was only able Cornelius Tondel for sixth. He was on Guadagnini on the final lap but the Italian held on for fifth.
