Sacha Coenen took the holeshot in the MX2 qualifying race at Kegums and was setting a high pace at the front of the pack. Mikkel Haarup passed Andrea Adamo to move into second but then lost the front in a costly crash.
Lucas Coenen and Kay de Wolf were on the move and got into second and third before catching Sacha. They both made moves and Coenen tried to apply some pressure but de Wolf responded really well and took a very impressive qualifying race win.
Simon Laengenfelder didn’t get the best of starts but rode well to recover to third keeping Adamo behind him. Haarup ended up fifth after passing Sacha Coenen with a couple of laps to go.
Oriol Oliver rode a solid race for seventh ahead of Liam Everts who will be looking for more on race day.
