Kay de Wolf took the holeshot in the MX2 qualifying race but was under pressure right away from Rick Elzinga. De Wolf looked to ride cautiously at the start with Elzinga making the pass for the lead.

However, de Wolf later responded and passed Elzinga to take an impressive qualifying race win. The Dutch talent then revealed he was riding without a clutch – but still won!

Adamo was on him on the final lap but the current MX2 championship leader held on to take an impressive race win. Everts was riding well and not far away in third.

Simon Laegenfelder was riding well in third but then had a couple of crashes which dropped him down to a disappointing eighth.
