It was Simon Längenfelder who grabbed the holeshot on his KTM but decided not to triple which allowed Lata and Coenen to get around him on the first lap.
Lata and Coenen then pulled away at the front – the Italian was having a great ride but Coenen then made a move with a couple of minutes to go and then brought home a comfortable win.
Längenfelder started to ride better at the end – but he may have to start thinking about taking more risks on the opening laps.
Mathis Valin had a solid race in fourth holding off Camden McLellan who came from way back up to fifth – he has the pace to be right at the front tomorrow but will hope for better starts.
