With conditions very tough in Portugal, a good start was very important and Lucas Coenen led going around the first corner. It didn’t take long for there to be plenty of chaos. Coenen crashed and then de Wolf and Benistant collided leaving them way back in the pack.

Rick Elzinga was leading but Liam Everts was on the move suiting the tricky conditions and he made a move to take the win. Haken Osterhagen rode a great race for third despite some sketchy moments on his JM Honda.

Simon Langenfelder had a quiet but strong ride for fourth with Lucas Coenen getting back to fifth after another crash.

Jens Walvoort won’t mind the conditions as he brought home a superb sixth ahead of Quentin Prugnieres.
