It has been a perfect start to the 2026 season for the BUD Racing squad, with both Francisco Garcia and Jake Cannon emerging as two of the standout riders in the highly competitive EMX250 championship.
Garcia currently leads the championship with the red plate and has established himself as the rider to beat in the class thanks to a string of impressive performances. Meanwhile, Cannon has also enjoyed a breakthrough campaign and sits third in the standings after continuing to make major progress throughout the season.
The Australian talent claimed his first overall victory in the series at Arco di Trento and has continued to go from strength to strength ever since. The pair have also dominated domestically, currently holding first and second positions in the French Elite MX2 championship standings.
Their strong form has already earned both riders a step up to Grand Prix level, with Garcia and Cannon set to make their MX2 World Championship debut on home soil in France. However, the exciting news does not stop there, as it has now officially been confirmed that the duo will also contest a round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship in the United States.
The BUD Racing riders are set to line up at the legendary Southwick National, a venue renowned for its demanding sandy conditions. It could prove to be the perfect track for the team, considering the riders spend much of their training time at the famous BUD Racing sand facility and already have plenty of experience racing on sandy circuits throughout the EMX250 calendar.
With both riders carrying excellent momentum and confidence into the event, there is every reason to believe Garcia and Cannon could make a strong impression when they take on America’s best at Southwick.
BUD Racing confirmed the news on social media:
“Southwick, we are coming. Francisco Garcia and Jake Cannon are locked in for Pro Motocross at Southwick in MX2 on the 11th of July.
Let’s bring some Spanish, Australian and French energy to the American paddock”.
