Lawrence Brothers keen to race 2021 MXoN!

While America have confirmed they will send a team to contest the 2021 Motocross Des Nations event that will take place in Mantova, there’s still no official word that Australia will send a team. However, Hunter Lawrence has told MotoOnline that he’s keen to race the event and his younger Brother, Jett is also keen to represent Australia.

With Mitch Evans being injured and unlikely to be back for the event and the format of the event still to be confirmed, there’s a lot of uncertainty at the moment. However, if GP points are up for grabs at the event it would mean Jed Beaton would need to race in the MX2 class and not step up to race the 450cc which probably would have happened under the normal MXoN format.

If Hunter did get selected it would be likely he’d race the 450cc but with Beaton potentially having to race the MX2 class, it could mean Jett might have to race a 450cc as well.

“For sure, we sent our resume, so yeah, dude, me and my brother are both trying to get selected for it. What we think for it, obviously with Jed Beaton over there and Mitch [Evans] being unfortunately injured, looking like he probably won’t be ready even though I’m not 100 percent sure, it depends where Jed is with his championship because there is talk of the Nations being a point-scoring round towards the world championship. If that’s the case, does it mean Jett and I would be on 450s, or? There’s so much in the air, even if we get selected. I want to do it, but there’s so much uncertainty in regards to the event itself”, Hunter Lawrence told MotoOnline.
