Kevin Strijbos joins Factory KRT – team trainer

Kevin Strijbos announced last year that he’d stop racing Motocross professionally but the Belgian will be staying within the sport and the MXGP paddock.

The Factory KRT team which has changed ownership for the 2022 season with the Ice One team owned by Kimi Raikkonen and managed by Antti Pyrhönen have decided to give Kevin Strijbos the trainer role within the team.

Recently Jacky Vimond had been working with Romain Febvre as a trainer and also worked with Ben Watson in the past when he raced the MX2 World Championship so it’ll be all change for the riders as well but Strijbos will hope to improve them even further.

“Well here we are. No more racing for me but I am still involved with mx. Happy to announce I will join Kawasaki MXGP as a team trainer for Romain and Ben. Really glad to get this opportunity and looking forward to something new. I will give myself 100% to this, same as I used to do when I was racing. Big thanks to the team and everybody who is involved”, Strijbos stated on social media.
