The guys at Team 101% Media recently caught up with Jörgen-Matthias Talviku to discuss a range of topics including his future which is not yet clear.
After a year racing in America, Talviku is back home in Estonia putting in the laps on a Triumph until his plans become clear for the 2025 season.
On his health after dealing with Epstein Barr virus…
Health wise we are finally in very good shape and I am extremely grateful for that. Freshness is back in body and mind. There have been no more problems and I have been on a training schedule for the first few weeks.
The body has been through quite a lot this season. After the complicated Epstein Barr virus, from which recovery took quite a long time, one more mess happened. I was riding my bike at the test track to hone my supercross skills and I fell with internal bleeding in my kidney. This delayed put me off the bike for another month. But I think that all things happen for a reason and therefore it was necessary for something.
On riding a Triumph in Estonia…
I’ve been looking for a bike for some time to start riding in Estonia, because I didn’t have a bike in Estonia this season. In the end, our cooperation with Triumph Estonia turned out really well. I needed a bike for training and I can also offer them the advertising they needed. It’s cool that there is a new brand in Estonia and I’m happy to be a part of its development and testing, especially since at the moment my plans are open and there is no direct offer suitable for me yet.
The new season is still open and I hope to close the plans by December. I have looked for options on the US side, communicated with the World Championship teams to race MX2, but also thought about going to the new 450 class.
