Jere Haavisto signs with Schmicker Racing for ADAC MX Masters

Silve Racing and Jere Haavisto have entered into a cooperation agreement with the German Schmicker Racing team, as a result of which Haavisto will be able to drive the full German ADAC championship series. The series comprises eight races and will now start this coming weekend at the Fürstlich Drehna track.

Jere Haavisto:

This is a great opportunity to add more high-level competitions to my calendar, which I also need to develop as a driver. With the cooperation, it’s nice to start a new series, when I get to ride a familiar bike and Ludde (Söderberg) travels with me in the races. The ADAC series avoids the MXGP weekends and therefore does not affect our original plan regarding the competition calendar”.

As far as Haavisto is concerned, the implementation of the ADAC series is a cooperation model between Schmicker Racing and Silve Racing. The Finn uses the racing bike of his Silve Racing team in his races, but of course rides with Schmicker Racing livery and under their tent. The German team takes care of the logistics of the equipment between races, and the Finn gets a mechanic from them for the races.

Petteri Silvennoine (Silve Racing team manager):

An opportunity opened up for us to implement the German ADAC series in cooperation with Schmicker Racing. Being self-funded from Finland, this would not have been possible in any way, so this is a really great thing and brings eight more tough races to Jere’s calendar”.

In addition to the German championship series, Haavisto’s calendar currently includes three Finnish Championship races and part of European MXGP races.
