Injury update for Weckman as Guillod continues to impress in MXGP

Seventh of the Swiss GP last week, eighth this weekend in Italy, Valentin Guillod offers to team Ship to Cycle Honda Motoblouz SR some great results, as he put our CRF450R among the factory bikes!

The season really start in Switzerland for Valentin, who had another great weekend in Arco and offers to the team great results! Fifth Saturday of the qualifying race, Valentin confirmed his great shape with excellent starts in both races. Seventh in the first heat, he still held his place in the top ten of the second moto but making a few errors at the end of the race he finished eleventh. Eighth overall, he is the first non-factory rider of this GP. Weekend to forget for Stephen Rubini; qualified in thirtieth position Stephen will only make one lap in the first heat, as another driver hit him and injured his foot. In the MX2 class Emil Weckman made great starts, to grab a brilliant eighth place in moto one; he was still in the top ten of the second race when he crashed on a uphill, fortunately he was not injured and will be with his teammates at Vesoul next weekend for the fourth round of the French Elite.

Josse Sallefranque: “Another very positive weekend for Valentin, who had another big weekend by always being in the top ten with a fifth place in the qualifying race and a seventh place in the first heat. A few mistakes at the end of the second heat prevented him from making a another top ten, but eighth overall is a great result. It was more difficult for Stephen with small crashes, then another rider hit him and he suffered from foot pain. In MX2 Emil got two excellent starts, he had a great first moto by finishing eighth and he was doing it again in the second race when he crash quite hard, luckily he was not injured in that crash”.
