EXCL: Rider changes for SC Sport Homes Husqvarna ahead of 2024

The SC Sport Homes Husqvarna team are expected to make some rider changes ahead of the 2024 season. With Jörgen-Matthias Talviku securing an AMA Supercross ride it means he will leave the team after a good year and a half under the awning.

Elliot Banks-Browne came out of retirement this year and got some MX2 British Championship podiums for the team. ‘EBB’ is expected to stay with the team for 2023 to contest the MX2 British series.

We believe that the team will snap up Charlie Heyman for the 2024 season. The talented Brit enjoyed his rookie season in the MX2 British Championship this year with the Tru7 Honda Racing team but is expected to make the move to Husqvarna machinery. Heyman has a lot of talent but hasn’t got too much experience racing outside the UK which is a bit of a shame. The SC Sport Homes Husqvarna team have contested selected EMX/GP events as well as AMA National rounds over the past couple of years so it could be the perfect chance for Heyman to gain some experience racing Internationally which should help him improve his level.

The team are also believed to be in talks with Tristan Purdon to race the British Championship MX1 class. This year was Purdon’s first full season racing in the UK with SS24 Gabriel KTM after some wildcard events in 2022 but he also looks to be on the move ahead of the 2024 season.

We’ll continue to keep you updated as and when there’s developments.
