Duncan on her 2023 WMX world title

Courtney Duncan clinched her fourth world title with a 1-2 score in Turkey as she continues her domination of WMX.

Lotte Van Drunen showed she will be a threat in the future with a GP win in her rookie year, Guillen a gallant runner-up as Lynn Valk won the final race to show her potential but Duncan always looked in control of the series.

An overjoyed and emotional Duncan, with her mum flying over to watch her for the first time, said: “Honestly, I don’t know to say! It’s what it means, what it means to my family, my team. We work so hard for this, 20 odd years. To share it with the people that believe in you, my mum is here for the first time. Let’s enjoy this.”
