Race results: EMX250 RD9 – Bonacorsi wins title in Turkey

Race One: It was an entertaining opening moto with Maxime Grau leading the opening stages after taking pole position but after about seven minutes into the race crashed out of the lead. That allowed Cas Valk into the lead but Valerio Lata made a lovely pass to get himself to the front but then the young Italian binned it. Valk again then grabbed the lead but another Italian was on the charge as Ferruccio Zanchi got a terrible start and had to pass the likes of Karssemakers and Bonacorsi – before he knew it he was into second and closing down on Valk. But the Dutch talent was able to respond to bring home a strong win. BUD Kawasaki riders went at it on the final lap with Garib passing Prugnieres with a couple of corners to go for sixth.

Race Two: Maxime Grau looked like he was going to grab the holeshot but then crashed at the first corner leaving Cas Valk nowhere to go hitting the back of him. It allowed Fueri to lead on his Fantic and he was pulling away at the front but then crashed losing the lead. Karssemakers then found himself at the front but had big pressure from Lata with Bonacorsi the man on the move. The Italian closed down the gap, passed both riders to win the championship in style and with a round to go, he’ll now be hoping to ride the final MX2 GP rides to prepare for 2024. Lata finally made a move on Karssemakers but then crashed the corner after allowing Prugnieres to move up to third. Valk was able to get back to fifth for a podium.
