Haiden Deegan isn’t having the start to the season he wanted going 3-5 to his new rival Beaumer’s 2-1 but Brian Deegan is welcoming the competition!
Interestingly Brian said the competition is something Haiden needs to get ready for the 450 class:
“I like it, the more competition the better, because if you really working towards one day racing the 450 class, that class is no joke, those top ten dudes are rolling – you have to be ready for that. The tougher it is the better it is this next year in supercross, the more he gets pushed the better. Everyone wants to win, there is only one winner – just want to be that guy.”
Meanwhile things went better for the Lawrence brothers with Jett and Hunter going 2-5, see their day at San Diego here as well as the sportsmanship from Jett to Eli after the race.
Jett said: “Bittersweet, we are happy because we got a better position than 12th last weekend but the that win was just there, but Eli raced that very well, made that move at the start of the race and once we got into our flow we both had our flow pretty well, it was hard to break it and he was a bit better after the big triple before the on/off, he would gain there and I would spend the rest of the time trying to pull him in.
“We are in the right direction, bike is getting better and better. Looking forward to being home again, logging some laps again and go from there, we have been limited on our proper practice laps because we have been testing so much, looking forward to getting back to work and coming out swinging at A2!”
