ZXMOTO have officially announced their plans for the 2027 MXGP World Championship, confirming that JM Racing will run their factory MXGP programme next season. The announcement was made at EICMA, marking a major step forward for the Chinese manufacturer as they prepare to make their debut in the premier class of the series.

The new project will see ZXMOTO line up with a strong team and two good riders as they look to make their mark on the world stage.

Oriol Oliver and Kevin Horgmo sign with ZXMOTO

Oriol Oliver has been selected to lead the new ZXMOTO project in the MXGP World Championship. The Spaniard spent his rookie season in the premier class with SS24 Gabriel KTM, gaining valuable experience against the world’s best riders. Now, Oliver will embark on a new chapter as he joins JM Racing and the new ZXMOTO project for 2027.

Joining Oliver will be Kevin Horgmo, who is also set for a change of scenery after spending the last three seasons with SR Motoblouz Honda. Following an uncertain period regarding his future, the Norwegian has now secured his place in the MXGP World Championship for 2027, making the move to ZXMOTO.

With Oliver and Horgmo confirmed, ZXMOTO have their rider line-up in place as they prepare for their first season in the MXGP World Championship. The project represents an exciting new challenge for both riders, JM Racing and the Chinese manufacturer as they look to establish themselves in the highly competitive premier class.
