The final round of the Irish Motocross Championship is set to feature MXGP and EMX talent, with Chambers Racing confirming a five-rider line-up for the final round of the series taking place at Mountain Quarter MX track in Saul on September 12-13 – the pro racing will all take place on Sunday.
The British-based MXGP team will make the trip across to Ireland for the final round, bringing a strong selection of riders to contest the event.
Leading the charge will be experienced MXGP World Championship rider Adam Sterry, who will be joined by Ollie Colmer. Colmer stepped up to the MX2 World Championship this season for his rookie campaign and will be looking to gain valuable experience at the Irish Championship finale as he’ll race a 450cc machine.
Also lining up for Chambers will be Glenn McCormick, who will have the added motivation of racing at a local event. The Irish rider will be keen to put on a strong performance in front of his home crowd and show his team-mates exactly what he can do on home soil.
The line-up is completed by EMX125 British talent Hayden Statt and Harvey Cashmore, giving Chambers five riders across the various classes for what promises to be a busy weekend of racing.
Chambers Racing presence adds another major attraction to an already highly anticipated Irish Championship finale. Taylor Hammal, Josh Gilbert, Tristan Purdon, Joel Rizzi as well as local talent Jason Meara, Martin Barr, Lennox Dickinson, Nathan Green and Niall Cregan will all be racing the event. There are still more names to be confirmed.
Adam Sterry:
“I am really looking forward to coming to race in Ireland. It’s been a long time since I have raced over there. We have a month off so it’s good to get another race in preparation for the last round of the British Championship”.
Ollie Colmer:
“I haven’t raced over in Ireland since 2019 so it’s been some time. I have seen a few videos of the track, it looks quite old school but it will make some decent racing if the weather holds off. It looks like the line up is pretty good so far, there’s quite a few riders entered up so it will be a good test for me on the bigger bike to see how I stack up”
Glenn McCormick:
“I am really looking forward to this event, it’s one of my favourite tracks. With some nice changes to the track, I think it will make for some good racing. The club put in so much work to make it all happen so hopefully we can have a great days racing especially with many English riders coming over – I think it will be a good days racing! We are getting pretty much the whole Chambers Racing team over for the weekend which is awesome. It will be good to have a nice relaxed weekend at home racing. Hopefully this can really help Motocross back home and keeps on going for years to come”.
Harvey Cashmore:
“I am looking forward to competing in the Irish championship. It will be a new event for me with a packed line up so I can’t wait for it”.

“I’m really looking forward to going over to Ireland with the Chambers KTM Racing team to race the final round of the Irish Championship. It has been a good couple years since I was last over and it will be great to get back out to ride a new track with the team – I know Ireland won’t disappoint”
