Star Racing have provided an update after Colt Nichols hard crash in the whoops while leading the first heat race on Saturday night.
The team stated on social media: “Colt Nichols suffered injuries to both arms in his crash while leading the 250 heat race in Anaheim last night. He will be undergoing surgery today and more information will be shared once available.”
It’s a tough blow for the unfortunate Nichols who was looking great on track and was going for the West title to add to the East he won last year. And for the team, it was another hit, after they had already lost Justin Cooper for the supercross season after he broke his foot just before the season started. Their two champs from last year injured before the first main event of the year. Supercross is brutal.
