An injury set back for Kay Karssemakers

Young Dutch talent, Kay Karssemakers has already been putting plenty of laps in on his Factory Fantic to prepare for the 2024 season but has been hit with an injury setback.

On the 31st of December, Karssemakers was putting in the laps around the Berghem on a 450cc before it went wrong. The bike stopped in mid air due to an electronic problem which saw the Dutch rider crash.

The extent of the injury is a broken collarbone and he already had surgery on the 3rd of January. He is now focusing on his recovery and expects to be back on the bike in three or four weeks time.

With the opening round of the MX2 World Championship taking place the 9th and 10th of March, it should give him enough time to be ready for the opening round.
