Haiden Deegan nursing an injury ahead of the East Coast AMA Supercross series

Star Yamaha and Haiden Deegan decided to contest the East Coast 250 AMA Supercross series this year but it seems to be an injury has played it’s part in that decision.

The 18 year old would go in as the heavy title favourite but it’s thought that he is carrying a wrist injury. Whilst he is still expected to line up at the opening round of the series taking place in less than a month on the 3rd of February in Detroit, he’s likely not going to be 100%.

Steve Matthes from PulpMX has confirmed that he has heard Deegan is indeed carrying an injury but that the Star Yamaha rider is going to attempt to race the opening East Coast Supercross round at Detroit.

“I heard he’s going to try and race Dee-troit but yes, he’s hurt”, Matthes revealed on X.

The first round of the series will be interesting and especially how Deegan will perform, if he struggles due to injury it might just leave the door open for a wide open championship battle.
