Fresh from securing the 2026 FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship, Triumph Factory Racing’s Guillem Farres will lead a strong line-up of Triumph riders at the upcoming FIM Motocross of Nations in Ernée, France, this weekend. The newly crowned world champion will represent Team Spain, MX2 World Championship runner-up Camden McLellan competes for Team South Africa, with Mikkel Haarup riding for Team Denmark aboard the TF 450-X.
Farres heads to France following his exceptional MX2 season with Triumph Factory Racing. The Spaniard secured his first world title at the final round in Australia, completing a landmark campaign for both himself and Triumph. After celebrating his championship success, Farres will now turn his attention to representing Team Spain alongside 2026 EMX250 Champion Francisco Garcia and SMX Champion Jorge Prado.
McLellan will also arrive in Ernée following an impressive MX2 campaign. The South African won the final two Grands Prix of the season in China and Australia to secure second in the championship behind his Triumph Factory Racing teammate. At the Motocross of Nations, McLellan is joined by Trey Cox and Slade Smith as the trio look to deliver a strong result for Team South Africa.
Completing the factory Triumph representation is Mikkel Haarup, who will race for Team Denmark aboard the TF 450-X. Haarup recently completed his second season of racing in the United States and his first in the 450 Class with 5.11 Triumph Factory Racing, with the Dane finishing ninth in the final standings. The Motocross of Nations will mark his final race with the US-based Triumph programme before he returns to Triumph’s European racing operation for 2027.
Further strengthening Triumph’s presence at the Motocross of Nations, three additional riders will compete for their respective countries on Triumph machinery. Alvin Östlund will represent Team Sweden, Ben Watson will line up for Team Great Britain, with Fernando Velazquez racing for Team Mexico to add to the brand’s international representation at the prestigious annual event.
Guillem Farres:
“I’m really looking forward to racing the Motocross of Nations with Team Spain this weekend. We have a really solid team with Francisco Garcia, who has just won the EMX250 title, Jorge Prado, who just won the SMX title, and myself as the third rider. I’m really excited for the weekend and hopefully we can finish on the podium. I’m going to give it my best and I hope we can end the season on a high.”
Camden McLellan:
“The season is finally wrapping up, but we’ve got one more big one left with the Motocross of Nations in France this weekend, and I’m really looking forward to it. We’ve got quite a fresh team for South Africa with Trey Cox and Slade Smith, so I’m interested to see what we can do together. Of course, I’d also like to bring home the individual MX2 win for myself. The Nations is always a special event and I’m really looking forward to representing Team South Africa again. Hopefully we can finish the season on a high.”
Mikkel Haarup:
“I’m really looking forward to racing at Ernée. The last time I was there for the Motocross of Nations was as a spectator in 2015, so to come back and race at such a legendary track will be really special. We have a strong team again this year and it’s the same line-up we had in 2024, so hopefully we can improve on the result we achieved then. It will also be my final race with 5.11 Triumph Factory Racing, which makes the weekend a little bittersweet after everything we’ve achieved together over the last two years. At the same time, I’ll be rejoining Triumph Factory Racing in Europe for 2027, so having both teams together at Nations will be a really nice way to make that transition. I’m looking forward to enjoying the weekend and hopefully finishing my time racing in America on a high.”
