Haiden Deegan has hit back at Jorge Prado’s press conference comments that he doesn’t appreciate Deegan’s aggressive passing style after Deegan tried to make contact with Prado’s front wheel but missed!
Prado said: “I don’t like those games of making block passes. That’s not the type of racing I race. He likes that. Maybe in the lower categories, he could play with the other kids, but not with me. So when you race with that mentality, normally you end up bad.. When you race clean, you have a lot of things in your favor.
“I’m against that type of racing. I’m not racing for the money like he is. I’m racing with passion and I’m racing because I love the sport.”
And Jorge reposted this which is genius!
Deegan responded with some footage of Prado making a pass on Hunter Lawrence and even some old GP clips of Prado getting into contact with other riders – it could be the rivalry to watch next season!
Interestingly, according to the PulpMX Review show, Team USA and even Cooper Webb apparently reached out again to Deegan to go to MXoN but Deegan allegedly wanted money to go and the US team were thinking about raising the money to make it happen only for Beaumer and KTM to step up and replace the injured Hymas.
