Race One: Champion, Ricardo Bauer took the holeshot and never looked back as he dominated the opening race. Ryan Oppliger had a strong ride to bring home an impressive second.
It looked like Emil Ziemer was going to finish third but then he went down which dropped him to fifth. Sleny Goyer finished third ahead of Bertram Thorius.
Race Two: Bauer had the holeshot but around turn two, Goyer was aggressive and made a move into the lead.
On a flat track there wasn’t much to split Goyer, Bauer and Ernecker for the first ten minutes or so but then Bauer made a move stick on Goyer.
Ernecker was then on Goyer before the Yamaha man had a tip over which allowed Ernecker into second to secure a silver medal in the championship.
Oppliger was looking good for a podium before two costly tip overs. The Swiss talent was in an exciting battle with Thorius on the final lap – if he made a move stick he’d have secured his first EMX125 podium but after passing him the Dane got him back!
