Jorge Prado, Guillem Farrés and Rubén Fernández will represent Spain in France from October 2-4, with Francisco García and Oriol Oliver as reserves.
The Royal Spanish Motorcycle Federation (RFME) has confirmed the team that will represent Spain at the 2026 Motocross of Nations, which will take place on October 2, 3 and 4 at the Raymond Demy Circuit in Ernée, France, for the 79th edition of the event.
Jorge Prado, Guillem Farrés and Rubén Fernández will form the starting line-up, with Francisco García and Oriol Oliver as reserve riders, under the direction of national team manager Paco Rico.
Spain targeting the podium in Ernée
Spain heads into this year’s event with genuine hopes of fighting for the honours. All three riders are enjoying strong form and arrive in Ernée highly motivated to achieve a historic result for Spanish motocross.
In addition, all three riders will have the backing of their respective Factory teams, creating a first-class line-up that will represent Spain with the goal of fighting for the podium.
The team also hopes to count on strong support from a large Spanish fan presence in Ernée as they accompany the riders in their pursuit of the podium that the entire Spanish motocross community is hoping for.
Jorge Prado – MXGP
Prado will contest his eighth Motocross of Nations, defending the colours of Spain. The MXGP rider arrives in strong form following his season in the United States with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, having missed last year’s edition of the event.
The rider from Lugo highlighted the strength of this year’s Spanish team and recalled his impressive performance in 2023, when he fought for victory at the Nations.

Guillem Farrés – MX2 World Championship leader
Farrés will make his third appearance at the Motocross of Nations as the leader of the MX2 World Championship with Triumph.
The Catalan rider values the experience accumulated at this event and the good understanding within a team that has already competed together at previous editions. He heads to Ernée — a circuit where he has not raced this season but did compete last year — with his bike showing a high level of competitiveness.

Rubén Fernández – among the best in the MXGP World Championship
Fernández returns to defend Spain at the Motocross of Nations following a season spent inside the Top 5 of the MXGP World Championship.
The MX Open rider highlighted the strength of this year’s team, with Farrés leading the MX2 World Championship and Prado demonstrating his usual level. He believes the combined results can give Spain a chance to fight for the podium in Ernée, a circuit that traditionally enjoys a fantastic atmosphere from the fans.

Paco Rico – Spanish national team manager
National team manager Paco Rico highlighted the level of the three riders and what they have been demonstrating throughout the season.
“We have Jorge, who needs no introduction. For me, he is the best Spanish rider of all time and he is currently in a very good moment of form, as he is demonstrating in the United States; Guillem Farrés, the current MX2 leader, who has become the man to beat in this category and will be a key piece for our team; and Rubén Fernández, who is inside the MXGP Top 5 and who always fights like a warrior all the way to the chequered flag in such a special race as the Motocross of Nations.
“I like to be cautious and respectful, as always, but I am sure that we are one of the five or six teams with the strongest line-ups at the moment. Therefore, we have to look upwards and not put a ceiling on the result. What I would obviously like is to win. And I am clear that we have to compete in this race with our focus on the podium and on giving the Spanish fans that joy.
