Haiden Deegan came out swinging in Q1 to go quickest over Hunter and Jett with Jorge Prado back in seventh. Levi Kitchen and Cole Davies started their day one-two with Kitchen taking top spot with Ryder DiFrancesco third.
The rain came down hard for Q2 in what will now be a mud race in Budds Creek with two titles on the line with the Q1 times holding strong for the opening moto gate pick.
Deegan said after riding the mud in Q2: “It’s going to be wild! I don’t know why these dudes are so soft, I look around there’s no-one out there! These fans came out to watch us race and see us qualify so I laid down a lap for them. I sent the triple and did a whip – I’m loving it!
