The hype is next level for Haiden Deegan as he gets ready for his AMA debut this weekend in Pala ( Deegan v the world) and he doesn’t hold back on anything, including Jett Lawrence in his interview with Monster Energy!
Deegan on…
Being Cocky
I’m cocky, and I back it up, and when I show up, I definitely show up and I dominate…I like being cocky because it pits me in a corner that I have to get myself out of if it goes bad.
I want to take the throne pretty much. That’s what goes through my head. I want to line up to Tomac, I can be like, show them, you know, this is the new beast mode.
His debut at Pala
It’s crazy that this anticipated Hayden Deegan to 450s is going to be in my home track. So, grew up there. I mean, I remember after school, three o’clock, I was digging motos out there on my 85 and 65. Like, that’s the spot. That’s where I grew up. And I’m ready to lay it all down. I like motocross because I feel like I can go to a different pain range than anybody. I’m fine with hurting.
Jett Lawrence
So the way I look at it, the way Jet presents himself is no one’s better than him. No one can beat him. So the way I’m coming in is, what if this rookie can beat Jet? What are they going to do now? And that’s kind of the way I’m looking at it. That’s what I’m working towards. And no matter what he’s going through, he should go win. He should beat me. So it shouldn’t be a problem for him. So we’ll see.
Hunter, his trajectory is going up right now. I’ve heard the joke. Jett’s brother. I think it’s Hunter’s brother now Honestly, like, Hunter’s kind of taken the crown. He’s dominating and he’s going to be hard to beat. And I’m excited for him. I’m excited for the challenge to get to the point where I run up with those guys and it’d be nice to go and try and beat him.
