Roczen on why he loves Glendale!

Ken Roczen has always had great success at Glendale and the German feels that it could have something to do with the tracks he grew up riding in Europe!

Roczen said to Adam Cianciarulo and Justin Brayton on their podcast: “Over the years, I guess it has been known that it is my spot. But like I said before, it’s not like I go there and I feel like I’m going there with a crazy advantage. It just always happens to be that way. Obviously, I did grow up riding hard pack tracks like that, the same colour of dirt and blue roof that it gets, although it has been a long time since I’ve been over there, you know, but there’s certain things from your childhood that just stick with you, right?

“So it’s the same with France, I used to race in France quite a bit. It’s the same type of track, hard pack, blue gloove, no water system. So we end up getting very similar conditions to that so that could play a role in it. But it’s hard to go there and not smile, if that makes sense.”

Will Roczen get his first 20 minute main event win of the year tomorrow night? It might be his best chance so far. Get the full interview below:
