Red Bull KTM USA team manager, Ian Harrison, has given his assessment on supertalent Lucas Coenen with the 18 year old Belgium learning supercross on a 450 after his superb MXGP rookie season that saw him finish second in the world.
Ian told Michael Lindsay: “The plan was all along for both of them to come down here after the MXoN. Sacha unfortunately broke his arm at the MXoN and returned home to start the healing process and we worked with Lucas. He came out to the supercross track and he is an extremely talented rider , he picked it up very quickly.
‘He is very, very young, it’s amazing to think he is 18 years old and finished second in the 250 world championship and now second in the 450 world championship, this guy has a huge future. We did some work with him and it was fun.“
