The Nestaan Husqvarna team have built a strong reputation in recent years for developing young talent at the very highest level. From picking up Kay de Wolf early in his career and guiding him to his first world title in 2024 – with a second title possible – to playing a big role in Lucas Coenen’s development before bringing Liam Everts on board for 2025, the squad continues to prove itself as one of the best environments for nurturing future champions.
Looking ahead to 2026, it appears the team could be expanding their programme even further. Not only are de Wolf and Everts expected to remain under the awning, but it’s understood that Nestaan Husqvarna will also run a full EMX250 set-up for the first time – with two rookies set to be under the new EMX250 awning.
The team has raced EMX250 in the past with de Wolf and Maxime Grau, but never before with a two-rider line-up. That looks set to change, with Nestaan doubling down on their long-term vision of discovering and developing the next wave of world-class talent.
One rider strongly linked to the new structure is Dani Heitink. The Dutch youngster recently announced his departure from the MJC Yamaha squad and has already been spotted training on a Husqvarna. It’s widely believed he will slot into the Nestaan EMX250 project for 2026.
Alongside Heitink, another highly-rated Dutch rider, Dean Gregoire, is tipped to join the squad. Gregoire has reportedly signed a long-term deal with the KTM Group, and Nestaan is seen as the ideal place to accelerate his development as he steps up from the youth ranks.
With Ruben Tureluren and Rasmus Jorgensen continuing their excellent work behind the scenes, the addition of an EMX250 programme highlights Nestaan Husqvarna’s ongoing commitment to shaping the stars of tomorrow.
While nothing is yet official, all signs point to the team being even busier in 2026 – and fans can expect plenty of attention on their new-look structure once the season gets underway.
