Race results: EMX125 RD2 – Arco di Trento – Fueri on top!

The opening EMX125 race was a dream for the Maddii Fantic team as they went 1-2. Alexis Fueri held the early lead and was pulling a comfortable gap ahead at the front. Cas Valk didn’t get a good start but had an outstanding opening lap – he was already third by the end of the first lap.

With four laps to go Valk then pulled the pin and quickly caught up to his team-mate, he just couldn’t make a pass stick but with another lap anything could have happened. It’s the first EMX125 race win of Fueri’s career so he’ll hope it’s the first of many.

Karlis Alberts Reisulis rode well to come home in third ahead of Elias Escandell.

Ivano van Erp was buried down the order on the opening lap but rode well to get his way back up to eleventh.

In the second moto, Cav Valk decided to go with the inside gate and it didn’t go to plan as he crashed around the first corner and tagged his teammate but fortunately for Fueri he was able to keep up right and ended up having the perfect weekend taking a perfect 1-1 to grab hold of the championship red plate.

Cas Valk had plenty of work to do coming from last but he rode really well to get back up to eighth.

MJC Yamaha rider, Karlis Alberts Reisulis was on the move as he made a number of passes to move himself into second and seal the last step of the podium.

It was a frustrating weekend for Ivano van Erp suffering from bad starts and crashes but speed isn’t the issue – he charged his way through to fourth behind impressive rookie, Vitezslav Marek.
