Wrist injury ends Michele Cervellin racing career

Italian rider, Michele Cervellin has had plenty of good days in the sport but a wrist injury has meant we haven’t seen him race for a couple of years after an infection during his recovery.

The Italian has now revealed that he has made the tough decision to end his racing career which is a real shame as he had plenty of potential for the future before his injury.

Cervellin posted the following message below:

Hi Guys. I’ve tried everything multiple times imagining the day I’d go back behind the gate but a wrist infection from the winter of 2020/21 destroyed my wrist. As 2023 comes to an end, with a bit of rage, a beautiful chapter closes, a passion turned into a job.

All of this thanks especially to my parents who with many sacrifices allowed me to cultivate this passion together with my brother, for me an example to follow since I was young. Thanks also to Fiammeoro Motociclismo for the support it has given me and will give me in the future, thanks to the Teams and the people who have worked for me, remaining in some cases a second family.

Thanks also to all those who, in good or bad, have always cheered for me. And thanks to Gloria who has always stayed by my side, maybe only she can understand what I really felt.

My life so far has been mainly focused on motocross, giving it my all every day between physical and motorcycle training, now the plans will change a bit but I will try to face it all again with the same grind.

Happy 2024 to all,
Michele
