Two of the big unknowns coming into 2022 are Malcolm Stewart and Aaron Plessinger. The 2021 Star Racing Yamaha teammate both have bags of talent and finishes 5th and 6th in the series last year on their 450 Yamaha’s but now both are on different machinery albeit under the same overarching umbrella.
Stewart has moved to Rockstar Husqvarna and is now working with Aldon Baker, as is Aaron Plessinger who has moved to the Red Bull KTM squad. Both say they feel great on their new machines but it remains to be seen if Aldon Baker can help both step up another level indoors to be consistent podium threats and race winners.
