Video: Pauls Jonass start crash in Germany + injury update

Pauls Jonass was having a great season in contesting the MXGP World Championship consistently running in the top five in the toughest class series in the world.

However, things went wrong for Jonass today in a start crash in Germany which you can see below:

Jonass has dislocated his shoulder as well as a fracture to his upper arm. The Latvian will undergo surgery urgently as it is important to go under the knife quickly to avoid any further complications.

It’s a big blow for Jonass who would have been looking forward to his home GP in Latvia next weekend but is now likely to be ruled out of action.

The Standing Construct Honda team are currently awaiting Alberto Forato’s return to racing after he got back on the bike last week.
